Noelle Fox, APR, is an award-winning communications professional whose education in the industry, coupled with nearly 20 years’ experience, has positioned her as one of the Tampa Bay area’s foremost experts on PR and marketing. She opened True Blue Communications in 2010 and has since grown it into a premier PR firm in Tampa Bay, serving clients throughout Florida and the country.
As President & Chief Strategist, Noelle focuses on making the mission and vision of True Blue Communications a reality. She provides clients executive-level communications counsel and oversight of marketing and PR programs and projects.
Education
Noelle’s formal education includes graduating Summa Cum Laude from the University of Florida with a bachelor’s degree in Public Relations and a minor in English. In 2009, she earned the distinguished Accreditation in Public Relations (APR), held by only approximately 3,500 of the estimated 250,000 people practicing public relations in the country.
Career History
Prior to establishing True Blue Communications, Noelle was the Public Relations and Media Manager at the international headquarters of Shriners Hospitals for Children, the largest pediatric specialty hospital system in the world.
Before that, she was Marketing Coordinator for the New York Yankees in Tampa, home of the major league team’s spring training facility and where the minor league Tampa Yankees played their regular season.
Industry Involvement
A leader in the PR industry, Noelle was the 2013 President of the Tampa Bay Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), the largest organization for PR professionals in the world. She has held numerous leadership positions with PRSA at the regional and statewide level.
In addition, Noelle is frequently invited to present to various organizations as a public relations and marketing subject matter expert. She is also a regular contributor to PRSA’s Strategies & Tactics magazine, read by PR professionals around the country. She is the author of the Peaceful PR blog, which encourages a healthy lifestyle for PR professionals, in and out of the office.
Also a leader in the Tampa Bay business community, Noelle launched the Tampa Bay Community of Femfessionals – a national organization for businesswomen – in spring 2012 and served as president until fall 2013.
Awards
Over the years, Noelle has been honored with many professional awards. These include the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s 2011 “Up and Comers” Award, Public Relations Society of America Tampa Bay’s 2011 Community Service Award and Sue Ellen Richardson 2006 “Rookie of the Year” Award, and the Florida Public Relations Association’s Judge’s Award for a special event and Golden Image Award for a public relations campaign.
Nonprofit Work
Noelle is passionate about nonprofit PR and marketing. She has dedicated hundreds of hours of pro-bono communications services to many nonprofit organizations over the years, including Southeast Tissue Alliance, Six Mile Cypress Slough Preserve, Child Abuse Prevention Project, SPCA Tampa Bay, Art for Autism, Unsigned Preps and Instruments of Change.
